George Brassil
George is a highly specialized physiotherapist with over seven years of clinical experience spanning both private practice and the NHS. He is dedicated to improving quality of life through evidence-based, person-centred care, with particular expertise in women's and men's pelvic health and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Education & Training
George graduated with distinction from Hanzehogeschool University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands—the country's leading institution for physiotherapy education—earning his Honours Bachelor of Science in International Physiotherapy. His academic excellence was recognized when he was selected as one of only five graduates from a cohort of 250 to receive specialized training and an Honours College Degree in Healthy Ageing. During his studies, he specialized in chronic pain management in adults and minored in positive psychology, establishing a foundation for his holistic, compassionate approach to care.
He has completed advanced postgraduate training with the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) group, furthering his expertise in supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, menopause and a comprehensive range of pelvic health conditions affecting both women and men.
Additionally, George has trained with the Acupuncture Association for Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP), integrating acupuncture into his treatment approach to optimize pain management and encourage deep relaxation. This complementary skill enhances his ability to support patients through pregnancy discomfort, postpartum recovery, the menopause, and chronic pain conditions, offering a gentle yet effective option alongside traditional physiotherapy techniques.
Clinical Expertise
George's specialist interests include pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum care, post-surgical rehabilitation, and supporting patients through life transitions with sensitivity and clinical precision. His extensive clinical background encompasses orthopaedic rehabilitation, spinal trauma, hydrotherapy, intensive care, respiratory surgery, colorectal care, oncology, gynaecology, urology, and obstetrics. This diverse experience has cultivated a deep understanding of the interconnected nature of physical health and reinforced his commitment to treating the whole person, not just symptoms.
Prior to joining Bliss, George served as a Highly Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, leading pelvic health departments, advocating for best practices, and training specialists in pelvic health physiotherapy while maintaining a private practice in central London. His exceptional dedication to patient care was recognized with a Gold Hero Award for outstanding service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
