DR. GERGANA PEEVA
Dr Gergana Peeva is a Consultant Obstetrician and an accredited specialist in Fetal and Maternal Medicine, with over 15 years of international clinical experience. Her global perspective on maternity care is shaped by her diverse training and practice across Europe.
After earning her medical degree from the University of Cologne in Germany, Dr Peeva completed her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Zurich, Switzerland.
Since relocating to London in 2012, she has focused on developing her expertise in High-Risk Obstetrics, Maternal Complications in Pregnancy, and Fetal Medicine. She has worked alongside world-renowned specialists at leading institutions such as St Thomas’ Hospital and King’s College Hospital, and has served as an NHS Consultant in Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics, and Gynaecology.
In 2018, Dr Peeva was awarded a PhD from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid for her research into treatment options for complex monochorionic pregnancies. Further supporting her holistic approach to pregnancy care, she completed a degree in Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine from Harvard University in 2023.
She has published widely in respected journals on topics such as multiple pregnancies, prediction of pre-eclampsia and intrauterine growth restriction, sickle cell disease in pregnancy, and fetal neurophysiology. As a Fellow of the UK Professional Standards Framework for Teaching and Learning Support in Higher Education, Dr Peeva also acts as an accredited supervisor for specialist trainees and medical students.
Outside of medicine, Dr Peeva has a love for art and fashion, enjoys painting and reading, and is a passionate snowboarder and former dancer.
Dr Peeva is deeply passionate about her field and is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care that is tailored to the unique needs and expectations of every mother-to-be.
Among her many qualifications, she holds the prestigious Diploma in Fetal Medicine, accredited by the award-winning pioneer, Professor Kypros Nicolaides.
She has extensive experience in Fetal Medicine and personally performs a wide range of ultrasound scans and invasive procedures.
Her areas of special interest include multiple pregnancies, maternal complications, high-risk obstetrics, prenatal diagnosis, fetal anomalies, growth restriction, and the management of fetal conditions.
